As part of the Platform Edge service offering the Cloud Data Centre is investing in a new network fabric to improve interconnection, security and resiliency between our data centres and out to the internet over a 100Gbit core network. In time the new network fabric will provide new features for faster and more agile deployment and network control. In the short term we are upgrading the network equipment and migrating connections to the new Edge Fabric, which will verify your existing network resiliency configuration (inc. loop detection) and provide more room for flexibility and growth.
As part of this work, the Data Centre engineers will be migrating the IP Transit connection at the Croydon LN-1 (South London) data centre. A short outage will be experienced during the maintenance window which will be no longer than 30 minutes. Due to the short outage please take time to check your systems post the completion of the maintenance window.
WHY?
This is required as part of the new network fabric implementation project.
WHEN?
The maintenance will take place during the following window:
Primary date
Start: 05/09/2024 22:00 BST
End: 05/09/2024 23:59 BST
Secondary date (if primary date not used for any reason)
Start: 12/09/2024 22:00 BST
End: 12/09/2024 23:59 BST
